Make sure you both give your agent your full names as they appear on your passport and/or proof of citizenship.

Brides - If you travel within days of the wedding, you'll be traveling under your maiden name. Check ahead of time to ensure you've got proper documentation for your trip. Your travel agent will let you know what you need as soon as you book your trip; you may need a passport, or proof of citizenship with picture identification. Don't wait until days before the wedding to try to locate these things - you'll have enough going on!

Let your agent know about special requests.

Not all hotels have king-size beds or non-smoking rooms, but those that do allow you to request them ahead of time. Do you like to be near an elevator? Close to the lobby? Far away from the action? Although few hotels will guarantee any of the above, having your agent state your requests ahead of time can put you that much closer to having them granted.

Leave a copy of your itinerary with a family member or two, in case of an emergency.

Let everyone know you're on your honeymoon!

Your agent will note it in your record and on your reservations, but don't be shy about mentioning it again when you check in at the airport, into your hotel, or make dinner reservations; you never know what special services someone will be able to offer you!

Enjoy yourself!

Your new life is ahead of you; enjoy each other's company, as you will for many years to come.
