Are meals included?

Each of our brochures clearly lists each day which meals are included. Typically breakfast and most dinners are included.

Is the company service oriented? Does the company have a customer service, reservations and accounting departments to assist the group participants? Are they able to accept credit card payments?

Our Group Department has a team of professionals who take care of all the administrative and travel needs of each group. Needs such as reservations and accounting services handle the administrative details of your tour; taking care of the each individual’s needs such as extended stays at the destination; accepting Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards.

Is sightseeing included and what about entrance fees?

Witte Travel and Tours includes all sightseeing and entrance fees in accordance with the tour itinerary.

Can you extend your stay after the tour? Will the company make the arrangements for you?

If you would like to make some special arrangements-to leave from a different international departure city, to spend additional time in Europe, to fly to other points in Europe, etc., we can assist you. In connection with most tours, a variety of individual air arrangements can be made at very reasonable rates. Each year, more than 25% of our travelers take advantage of our willingness to provide this type of special service.

Is insurance included in the cost of the tour?

Each Witte Travel and Tours tour participant is covered during the organized land portion of the tour for medical expenses arising out of illnesses or accidents occurring on tour and requiring hospitalization.

How is Witte Travel and Tours represented throughout the World?

Witte Travel and Tours has a special working relationship with a number of motorcoach companies and “incoming tour operators” throughout the World. Rob van der Hoek, based in the Netherlands, is the European representative for Witte Travel. He is assisted by special Witte travel representatives in other parts of Europe. We hire and train our own multi-lingual tour managers who know the territory and the intricacies of managing a tour. These European tour managers posses superb leadership and organizational skills, have a scholarly knowledge of history and geography, and are fluent in American-style English and at least three other languages.

Is there a tour host involved in putting the tour together? If so, what is the tour host’s role?

At Witte Travel and Tours a tour host is involved in all aspects of putting a tour together.
The tour host works as the tour promoter signing up passengers for the tour and helping them to get ready to travel. While on tour, the tour host becomes the group leader or spokesperson working closely with the tour manager and motorcoach driver to make sure that all of the arrangements promised to the group are carried out smoothly. As the “social director” the tour host makes sure that all travelers have a wonderful time.

What is the company’s cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy is one of the most lenient in the industry. Penalties will be assessed in accordance with the date on which your written notice of cancellation is received by Witte Travel and Tours, as per the schedule in the Terms and Conditions of your tour.
