¡Canta! Costa Rica

I’m already back in Costa Rica, just six months after our first choral festival, here to make plans to repeat in 2015! The challenge may be in finding ways to improve…as all of our participating singers and directors gave rave reviews.

“I tend to look at choir tours from multiple perspectives – the most important being the musical and logistic aspects. In this regard, Canta Costa Rica was a first-class festival all the way. We had passionate and knowledgeable clinicians, excellent accommodations, incredible food, and unforgettable excursions. Still, the most important part of any tour is the music. We were especially honored to have performance collaborations with a fine Costa Rican youth choir, as well as other choirs from the US. I highly recommend this festival to any youth choir who is looking for not just a fine travel experience, but a powerful musical experience as well.”

As much fun as we had zip-lining the canopy, hiking hanging bridges, exploring waterfalls and wildlife centers, the indisputable highlight was the closing concert shared with our new friends from the Coro Juvenil del Instituto Nacional de Música and our full house at the National Auditorium Theater in San José.

Our Artistic Directors, Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory, quickly agreed to return again next year, calling it “a beautiful festival, one which ran smoothly and offered your clients everything they needed to have a rich musical experience.”

We are going to increase the reach into the local community a bit in 2015, sharing this amazing experience with more of our “tico” friends. Please contact me for more information or visit www.cantacostarica.com!

The attention to detail and knowledge of the Witte staff was outstanding, and added a lot to our tour of Luther’s Germany.
