Spanish-Speaking Destinations

Spain

Do your students really understand the difference between llevar and llegar? With many fabulous attractions for students, Spain is a perfect place to experience the history of the Castilian language. Order café con leche in Granada, visit the Royal Alćazar of Segovia, stroll the streets of Don Quixote’s hometown, visit Barcelona and Madrid all the while practicing the language, indulging in the food and culture, and taking in the beautiful charm of Spain.

Mexico

Change no comprendo to ¡sí entiendo! on a student language tour to Mexico. Bring your students to learn about the Mayan civilization at Chichén Itzá or the Aztecs of Teotihuacan. Take in the colonial cities of San Miguel de Allende and Oaxaca with their marvelous Spanish Baroque architecture before taking in the modern metropolis of Mexico City. Mexico is a beautiful and vibrant place to practice Spanish.

Guatemala

Adventure-filled time to practice Spanish awaits your students on a trip to Guatemala. Hike volcanoes, sandy beaches, historical cities, jungles and rainforests as you meander through this country. Visit pre-Columbian Tikal, take a zip line ride in Izpanpajul Natural Park, stay in beautiful Antigua Guatemala, while including service to local communities.

Peru

Everyone needs to experience Peru – Feel the thin air in Cusco, the oldest continuously inhabited city on the continent; hike other-worldly Machu Picchu, an icon of Incan civilization; delight in the culinary scene of the coastal capital Lima. From Amazon rainforests, Andes highlands and stunning coastlines—wherever you go, your students will be amazed and excited to practice their Spanish with friendly Peruvian hosts.

German-Speaking Destinations

Germany

Gain great exposure to the German language and tour Germany and surrounding countries that offer so much culture and history! Take your class to the storybook regions of the North, snap endless photos at Neuschwanstein Castle, travel the Romantic Road in Bavaria. Enjoy a musical excursion to Salzburg—inspired by Mozart or The Sound of Music. A student tour to the German-speaking countries of Europe is a highlight of many academic careers.

Switzerland

Out of the classroom and into Switzerland: International Relations, Finance, Hospitality, Science, History, French, Religious Studies, Art and much more. From the United Nations to CERN, to pharmaceutical headquarters, Switzerland offers great study options in addition to rich humanities opportunities. Let Witte take you to where Einstein’s theory of relativity began in Bern, Zurich’s banking district or Basel’s famous art show. Want to work breathtaking scenery and terrific chocolate into your tour? Switzerland has it all.

French-Speaking Destinations

France

Can we say “Paris, j’adore”? This iconic city is a must for travelers to France, but the country offers many unique opportunities that make it a perfect place for student groups to practice their French conversation skills while becoming citizens of the world. From historic Normandy to Mediterranean towns, a tour to Europe’s largest country will inspire students and expose them to the wonderful language, history, and culture of France.

Quebec

Venture north for an unforgettable and budget-friendly French language tour. Where Europe best meets America, Québec is a destination for wonder, history, and beauty. The fortified capital, Québec City, is a beguiling settlement with cobblestone streets and implausible views. The stunning Notre Dame Basilica and Old Montreal streets offer conversation and culture for your students to embrace. Voulez-vous les escargots monsieur?

Science-Focused Destinations

CostaRica

Look down into an active volcano, learn the difference between a cloud forest and a rain forest, hike through wildlife preserves and explore ecosystems at the National Biodiversity Institute. Costa Rica excites students’ passion for science. The beauty matches the fun factor: hikes and zip-lines, wildlife centers and hanging bridges, metropolitan San José, adventurous Arenal, natural Tortuguero—all of these add to making this a top destination!

Panama

Where Engineering meets Nature. Be awed by the raising and lowering of the Miraflores Locks of the Panama Canal; walk through Old Town Panama City; or try bird, whale, dolphin or turtle watching on the coasts or tree-top canopies. Young adults enjoy the wide variety of activities this Central American country offers.

Ecuador

Study unique animal species in the Galapagos Islands, explore the Avenue of the Volcanoes in the Andes mountains, and learn about biodiversity in the Amazon. Ecuador offers the chance for your students to dive into a variety of sciences. Let’s plan a field trip they will never forget!

Brazil

Large and diverse, Brazil offers a variety of sights for science-seekers. The tropical forests of the Amazon are stunning; the flora and fauna seen here are one-of-a-kind. Visit Jaú National Park, the largest untouched stretch of rainforest in the world; marvel at the wonder of rock formations at Seven Cities National Park; or travel south to see the roaring powerhouse, Iguaçu
