Following the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a critical voice of resistance against Nazi Germany, we visit his family home, the location of his “seminary in exile” in today’s Poland, a beautiful monastery in the northern Alps where he had safety to write, and concentration camps where he suffered. As we walk in his footsteps, we have an opportunity to talk together about what we can learn from his faithful witness. Evenings will give us time to delight in the magic of German Christmas Markets with wonderful offerings of food and crafts. Along the way, touch on the lives of J.S. Bach, Martin Luther, “Mad” King Ludwig, and others.
